MY Story
I first discovered yoga during college as a way to cope with my anxiety and panic attacks that would trigger during times of stress. I found that my yoga practice taught me about the mind / body connection, that it helped ground me, and it focused me on the present. It had a major impact on quieting my negative mental chatter and overall mood; so much so that yoga quickly became an essential part of my lifestyle.
During my high-risk pregnancy with my son, prenatal yoga was the ideal source of exercise in order to stay active while also helping me mentally.
In 2019, when I entered a National Physique Committee (NPC) amateur fitness competition, yoga became an essential part of my training routine for strength, flexibility, stability and balance.
I also continue to use yoga in my fitness regime. As such, my teaching style would also be a great fit for runners, cyclists, and other athletes looking to improve flexibility, prevent injury and enhance their performance.
Yoga is a wonderful practice that we can utilize as a tool to create empowerment, bring a sense of calm in our minds, and feel more content, strong, as well as connected to ourselves and others.
I love encouraging others to embrace their true authentic selves on the mat in the present moment. Tuning in and meeting yourself wherever you are. No ego, no pressure, just you and your practice.
I am incredibly passionate about sharing the teachings of yoga and its benefits. I believe that yoga really IS for everyone.
A Personal Yoga Journey
My Training
I completed my 200 hours YTT (yoga teacher training) during the COVID lockdown as regular yoga practice and meditation helped me to manage my thoughts and feelings.
